M’s Music – The Corrs

Jupiter Calling is the seventh album by The Corrs, released on 10 November 2017 by East West Records. It is their first new material in two years, following White Light (2015).

It was produced by T Bone Burnett, and recorded at RAK Studios in London. It was promoted by a show at the Royal Albert Hall on 19 October, for which tickets were made available on 15 September.

Following the release of White Light in 2015, the band toured the UK and Ireland in January 2016, and continental Europe in mid-2016 on their White Light Tour. Andrea Corr spoke to The Sun in January 2016, stating that the band were not planning to record a follow-up soon after, “as long as we’re all happy to continue. And we are all very happy.”

The Corrs sunt o trupă de folk rock şi pop rock celtic din Dundalk, Republica Irlanda. Trupa este formată din fraţii Corr: Andrea Corr (lead vocals, tin whistle); Sharon Corr (backing vocals, vioară); Caroline Corr (backing vocals, bodhrán, tobe); şi Jim Corr (guitar, backing vocals, clape).

The Corrs sunt bine cunoscuţi pentru hit-urile lor, inclusiv cele de debut Runaway şi Breathless. Toţi membrii cântă la pian, însă pe albume doar Jim şi Caroline sunt menţionaţi. Trupa a fost remarcată internaţional pentru spectacolul de la Jocurile Olimpice de vară din 1996. Din 2006 trupa este în hiatus …

În 1995 au înregistrat albumul Forgiven, Not Forgotten care s-a bucurat de succes în Irlanda, Australia, Japonia şi Spania. Albumul conţine piese precum: Forgiven Not Forgotten, Runaway, The Right Time, Toss The Feather.

În 1997 au publicat Talk On Corners ce conţine cântece precum: So Young, Only When I Sleep, What Can I do To Make You Love Me, Queen of Hollywood. În 1999 au cântac în studio cu public la MTV Unplugged, rezultând The Corrs – Unplugged, album care s-a bucurat de succes comercial, şi conţinea şi un cântec nou, Radio.
